Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 27, 2026

Manifesta ("we," "our," "the app") generates a video of your future self using a short voice recording and a selfie you provide. This policy explains what we collect, why, who we share it with, and the choices you have — including how to delete everything.

1. What we collect

  • Account information — your email address, used to sign you in (we use passwordless, one-time-code sign-in — we never see or store a password).
  • Voice recording — an audio sample of you speaking, up to a minute long, used to create a cloned voice for your narration and transcribed so we can personalize your session to what you actually said.
  • Selfie photo — used to render your likeness into AI-generated scenes.
  • Generated content — the resulting video, and any intermediate images or clips produced while making it.
  • Usage data — basic app activity (e.g. when you view a video) used to power your daily streak.
  • App-open signal for ad measurement — a basic signal that the app was installed and opened, sent automatically to our advertising partner Meta (Facebook/Instagram) so we can measure how well our ads are working. Not linked to your account, and does not include your voice, photos, or any content from the app.
  • Push notification token — if you allow notifications, a device token used only to tell you when your video is ready.
  • Phone number (optional) — after your first completed session, the app may ask if you'd like to share your phone number. This is entirely optional and used only so the team can reach you about updates.

2. Third-party AI processing

Before we send anything to a third party, the app shows you a consent screen naming exactly who receives your data and why. We use the following processors to generate your video:

  • ElevenLabs — receives your voice recording to transcribe it, create a cloned voice, and generate narration audio.
  • Anthropic (Claude) — receives the text transcript of what you said (not the audio itself) to write your personalized narration script.
  • Replicate / Black Forest Labs — receives your selfie to generate AI images placing your likeness into future scenes.
  • Runway — receives the generated scene images to animate them into short video clips.
  • Supabase — our database, authentication, and file storage provider. All voice/photo data is stored in private, access-controlled storage — never public.
  • Expo — delivers push notifications; if you allow them, your device token passes through Expo's notification service to Apple/Google so we can alert you when your video is ready.

We only send what's needed for the specific generation step. We do not sell your voice, photos, or generated videos to anyone, and we do not use them for advertising.

Separately from the generation pipeline above, we use Meta (Facebook/Instagram) to measure how well our ad campaigns are working. Meta automatically receives a basic signal when the app is installed and opened — never your voice, photos, or generated videos. We do not collect Apple's advertising identifier (IDFA) for this, and this signal is not linked to your account.

3. Your voice and likeness — your responsibility

You may only submit your own voice and your own photo. By recording, you confirm you have the legal right to use the voice and likeness you're providing. See our Terms of Service for the full acceptable-use policy.

4. How long we keep your data

Your voice recording and selfie are biometric-adjacent data. We automatically delete both once your video finishes generating — typically within a few minutes, rarely more than an hour — they are never kept afterward. Generated videos remain in your account until you delete them or your account. You can delete individual data or your entire account at any time — see Section 6.

5. Age requirement

Manifesta is intended for users 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

6. Your rights and deleting your data

You can delete your account and all associated data (voice recordings, photos, generated videos, and account information) at any time from within the app: Settings → Delete Account. This permanently removes your data from our systems. If you have trouble accessing the app, contact us using the details below and we'll delete your data manually.

7. Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update the "Last updated" date above and, where required, notify you in the app.
